Lamberhurst is tiny – it has a population of just 1,500 people or so, yet it’s only 5 miles or so from Tunbridge Wells, and now according to the local paper it is a very popular local dogging spot!
The Car Park at Lamberhurst
The paper reported that a local mum witnessed a lusty couple having a tryst as she waited for her child who was taking a dance class in the village hall. She chose to write about it on her Facebook page saying: “Oh my God. I’m sitting in the car park waiting for my son to finish dance and I’m parked next to a red van which pulled up about 45 minutes ago. I looked over to see a woman putting curtains up on the windows. A guy pulls up in a Porsche and gets in – 15 minutes later he gets out and drives off! She has just got in the front of the van and looked over at me with the cheesiest grin on her face!”
One of her friends was not in the slightest bit shocked, posting this reply on her Facebook wall: “That’s been going on for years, many an affair happens in that car park.”
However, local Parish councillor Steve Cannella was shocked – as he said: “I’m flabbergasted. I have never heard of this kind of thing happening in Lamberhurst before and all we can do is make our police liaison officer aware.”
To get a feel for how the locals feel about it, the paper managed to get one quote – from a certain Jack Laban, who runs Woodlands Farm Butchers on The Broadway, who joked: “Only in Lamberhurst, eh?”
