East Riding Council Opens Up Dogging Spots

News reaches us that East Riding council has recently been busy cutting back hedges around three popular lay-bys off the A165, including one close to the Trans Pennine Trail “to make the areas more visible.”

Dogging enthusiasts may puzzle as to why the council are trimming hedges at this time of year, but East Riding councillor Matthew Grove puts it best: “We have removed all the undergrowth to make the areas very visible. Most of them have been severely trimmed.”

He continues “The lay-bys used to have a lot of wildlife around them, but have been having a different kind of wildlife. These are large groups of people coming together!”

Lay bys and car parks are ideal places for doggers to enjoy dogging, and here is a handy dogging spot locator to help you find a layby near you, trimmed or in need of trimming.

Meantime, here is a good resource on dogging and the law which will help clear up one or two misunderstandings as to the legality of dogging (in the UK).
