Latest Dogging News Flash:- According to the The Daily Star, dour Scottish tennis player Andy Murray’s chance of winning Wimbledon this year is under threat from dogging.
As the Wimbledon fortnight kicks off, with the British Number 1 facing German Benjamin Becker in the first round today, his preparation has been affected by doggers near his home. Andy’s beloved Oakham Woods where he likes to walk his dogs have become a dogging hotspot with strangers taking part in outdoor romps – so could this be an early exit for the Scot – with Andy Murray beaten by doggers.
According to the paper, fellow dog walker Melissa Kate has complained to police but says the area has been labelled a Public Sex Environment (PSE) site and that the Police leave people to do what they want to do. Melissa also said that an internal police report advised officers to avoid a ‘knee-jerk reaction’ to those found having sex in public spaces.
Andy Murray is second favourite for the tournament this year, behind Novak Djokovic, and when you see him on court bidding to become the first British winner at Wimbledon since Fred Perry in 1936, do spare a thought for his dogs.
