This is a list of where to go dogging in Gloucestershire. With so many secluded spots throughout the county, you are in for a treat.
Birdlip Dogging
This is the famous one. This is the spot where the official dogging sign pointed to, and the local do-gooders couldn't see the joke. Anyway you need to head north up the A417 from Cirencester to Gloucester. Follow the "Scenic Route" for "Birdlip and Stroud". It's a left turning and the first on right is a parking place with a view, hence the sign.
Cheltenham Dogging
Cheltenham doggers head for Leckhampton Hill - three miles or so out of town on the B4070 turn off onto Daisy Bank Road and you are spoilt for choice. You may well see plenty of ramblers rambling around too.
Cirencester Doggers
Not surprisingly the best spots for dogging in the Cotswolds borders as they like to call it are the many car parks around South Cerney Water Park, not just the one by the sailing club, although that should be your first port of call for some Cotswold dogging fun.
Forest of Dean Dogging
There are dogging locations at car parks all over the Forest Of Dean - there are simply too many to mention. It's probably worth starting at Lydney and the Swan Road Car Park there.
Gloucester Dogging
Near Quedgley, Gloucester GL2. North bound leave the M5 at junction 12 (B4008) and at the end of the slip road turn left, at roundabout turn right onto A38 and continue along here past a large layby that's wide open to another (on the left) that's secluded from the main road by trees.
Stroud Dogging
Travel North up A417 from Cirencester. Follow the "Scenic Route" for "Birdlip & Stroud". Left turning and the first on the right is a parking place with a view. This is good after dark dogging.
Less well known is the dogging spot at Frith Woods near Bussage, about 3 miles out of Stroud just off the A419 London Road.
Tewkesbury Dogging
The car park of the Boathouse pub - alongside the River Avon. It is located on the A38 on the other side of the Mythe bridge.
The only other dogging spot in Glos that we can recommend is at Crickley Hill Country Park.
