Dogging in Cheshire

Dogging in Cheshire is not for the faint hearted. Cheshire has over 900 square miles and a population of over a million, so as you would expect there are loads of places to go find doggers in Cheshire. Oddly, golf courses seem to be popular for Cheshire doggers, and there are also stories of dogging in Stockport next to a Tescos superstore.

Chester Dogging

  • It has to be Broxton for you Chester doggers. Specifically the Broxton picnic area, which is 11 miles south of Chester at the A41/A534 Broxton roundabout.
  • Alternatively there is Delamere Forest. On the B5152 just past Delamere train station and pretty well opposite a camping club - anyone remember Carry on Camping? - there is a little road on your right. Watch out for the campers on their late night walks though.

    Congelton Dogging

Mow Cop Road has three or four laybys (with mixed reports) and Mow Cop Castle - and there is always the small wood at the rear of Bosley Cloud.

    Warrington Dogging

  • Take Junction 8 off the M62 and head towards Warrington. Straight over a mini roundabout and then take the first left into Wrights Lane. Follow this road until a sharp right bend and then take the next left down Lime Kiln Lane. Although it's less than a mile from a motorway junction, this is way off the beaten track.
  • Birchwood Forest - take Junction 11 off the M62 and head south on the A574. At the first roundabout turn left and head towards the main car park. You may need to go for a walk to find some action - keep your eyes and ears peeled.
  • Crewe dogging

  • Queens Park on the west side of the town. The members at Queens Park Golf course are not the only ones looking for balls in the rough.

    Macclesfield Doggers

Macclesfield Forest is the obvious place to look, and there are a couple of car parks near the reservoirs.

    Stockport Dogging

  • On the south side of town, we occasionally hear about Dooley Lane, but we cannot be specific as to the exact location for you Stockport Doggers.
  • Unconfirmed email - Junction 27 off the M60 onto Tiviot Way. Head north towards Stockport and turn off pretty well opposite Tesco's. We have not confirmed this yet and opposite Tescos does sound unlikely!

So dogging in Cheshire is a bit of a mixed bag, but stick to the Cheshire dogging spots above and you should be fine.
