Dogging in Hampshire

Hampshire has many remote spots which are ideal for some outdoor fun. With a county wide population approaching two million people, you will not have to go far to find Hampshire doggers hooking up.

Aldershot Dogging

Two spots for dogging in Aldershot - home of the Army. Firstly in the bushes behind the Wellington Monument and secondly in the Wellesley woodlands, although this is not public land; it is land owned by the Ministry of Defence.

Basingstoke Dogging

The best Basingstoke dogging action is at the Lime Pits. Take the A30 east out of town and the turn left 100 yards or so after the Black Dam roundabout. Go down this one way road and you will come across some tracks leading off into woodland.

Dogging in the New Forest

One of the best spots for dogging in the New Forest is at Verely Hill. This is pretty well halfway between Burley Street and Picket Post (the Shell service stations on the A31). Ignore the signs to Verely and keep your eyes peeled for the more screened and secluded Verely Hill. With many visitors in the area enjoying a dirty weekend away in the New Forest, you can expect to see new people each time you visit - including a number of curious dogging first timers.

Portsmouth Dogging

Portsdown Hill Viewpoint car park is probably the most infamous Portsmouth doggers and swingers location - and you will find it opposite Fort Nelson which is at the west end of the hill.

Southampton Dogging

• Not good to be honest. The south side of Southampton Common is the only spot we ever hear about. Turn into Cemetery Road and look for a large cul de sac where people park up along the road. Although heterosexuals do go there, the place attracts its fair share of gays, and as that is not our cup of tea, we steer clear.
• Lakeside Car Park. We haven't been there so cannot vouch for it, but we have been tipped off. Try opposite Southampton Eastleigh Parkway/Airport railway station and look for Lakeside Car Park.

Southsea Dogging

Not strictly doggers but there are often couples at it underneath the Pier.

Winchester dogging

On the A31 from Winchester to Alresford you will see a long lay-by stopping place. We have been told you often get a posh lot here as well, and particularly on Thursday nights, for some reason.
