As dogging becomes ever more popular and enters the common vernacular, it crops up in places you wouldn’t normally expect – like prime time radio.
The first episode of new BBC Radio 2 show Father Figure starring Jason Byrne and Pauline McLynn which was broadcast the other night brought the discussion of dogging into many people’s living rooms for the first time.

This wasn’t Dogging on the radio outing sportsmen or TV celebrities indulging in dogging – no this was middle aged parents discussing dogging in some detail in the name of comedy as part of BBC Radio 2’s Comedy Showcase.
Pauline McLynn, best known for her role in Father Ted, who plays the extremely religious mother believed dogging to be the proud display of pampered pets, which led to a large number of double entendres on the subject.
