Dogging in Northumberland

This is a pretty comprehensive listing of where people go dogging in Northumberland.

Alnmouth Dogging

At top of the village turn off main street into The Wynd, carry straight on, cross the golf course until you reach the beach to right of the old boathouses.

Berwick upon Tweed Dogging

The action is to be found at the car park at Berwick Rugby Club, although not when there is a match on! You will find the rugby club two miles south of Berwick in Scremerston.

Cramlington Dogging

Just off the A19 Moorhouse Farm roundabout there are a number of laybys before and after the level crossing, with plenty of bushes to conceal what you're up to.

Hexham dogging

Approach Hexham from the east. Take a left at large roundabout, and go down Rotary Way. Turn left along Ferry Road passing Egger factory on right. After about 200 yards you will pass Border Crafts on your left, then turn right down a road leading to water treatment plant. Alternatively, try Tyne Green Country Park and specifically the west end of the park. Easy to find by leaving Hexham, crossing the river then turning right into the park.

Morpeth dogging

This is a hit and miss spot, but we have been told the long lay-by about four miles north of Morpeth near a pub called The Oak Inn has action every once in a while.
